“A New Redhead in Town – Thirty-five women vied for the chance to represent a real-life version of the iconic gal in the Red Head Piano Bar logo. The contest was sponsored by Michigan Avenue Magazine, and an ad will appear in a future issue with the winner. She told us her name is Meghan, but she’s better known as Deirdre Doll — her burlesque stage name. In fact, the contest was quite popular with burlesque beauties, with a couple of showing a little skin to try to help persuade the judges. But perhaps it was Deirdre Doll’s quoting of classic literature that won them over. Looks like redheads got brains and beauty too.”
